A Brent resident’s experience of Covid-19

In a lively conversation, Mukhtar described his experience of the virus with us. He started by saying, “I am lucky to be alive.”

Mukhtar worked on public transport and contracted the virus due to the large number of individuals he came into contact with during March. He decided that hospital was not a safe place to go, so he decided to stay at home. He was extremely ill for two months, but gradually recovered. Other household members were hospitalised and also recovered.

Mukhtar has returned to his job and has made a full recovery.
