Government plans around the future of Healthwatch

This photo is showing a seminar building. On the left hand side there is a plain white wall and infront of the wall is a Healthwatch pull-up sign. In the middle of the room there is a group of people sitting on blue comfy chairs around a white table.
We're very disappointed to learn that Healthwatch England and local Healthwatch organisations will be closed down. For over a decade, Healthwatch has been a powerful advocate for communities across the country-amplifying voices, highlighting concerns, and driving meaningful improvements in health and social care.

Our dedicated team at Healthwatch Brent have worked tirelessly to ensure residents are heard and that their experiences shape better services. We remain steadfast in our commitment to championing community voices and continuing this vital work, while we await further clarity on what these changes will mean in practice.

We would like to thank all our fantastic staff and volunteers for their ongoing commitment during this period.

We believe it is essential that the voices of patients and their communities are not lost. Healthwatch and Healthwatch Brent look forward to working closely with local authorities and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to help shape a future where local independent patient voice remains a cornerstone of our health and care system.
