Join us for Share for Better Care Week 2026

Healthwatch England need your help to spread the word this March - let's help more people have a stronger voice in their care and get involved in a national week of action.

#BeHeardInBrent

An overwhelming majority of people, nearly 90%, in England want to see health
and care improve. But almost 19% don’t think they have time to share their story,
and 40% aren’t sure where and how to give feedback - that’s where you come in.

People's care experiences of care show us what’s working and what needs improvement. They highlight issues that may otherwise go unnoticed and, ultimately, enhance the quality of care. We want your help to encourage as many people to take just three minutes to share for better care for everyone.

Public feedback about NHS and social care support helps services spot problems, identify what's working well, and areas for improvement.

But six in ten people don’t remember ever having done this.

You can help change this by supporting Share for Better Care Week, which begins on 23 March 2026.

Whether you're part of the Healthwatch network, work in the NHS or social care or receive support from them, you can play your part by asking others to donate three minutes to share feedback on care.

What is Share for Better Care Week?

Despite having busy lives, most people are willing to spare a few minutes to share their care experiences, especially if they think it will help improve health services locally.

Share for Better Care Week will highlight how everyone can transform an everyday spare moment — whether waiting for the kettle to boil or the bus to arrive — into an opportunity to make a positive impact by sharing feedback about their care in Brent.

Organised by the Care Quality Commission and Healthwatch England, the campaign aims to encourage more people to share their feedback to drive improvements in health and care.

By getting involved, you can raise awareness about why health and social care services value feedback, and the difference it makes and encourage more people to act.

Resources to support Share for Better Care Week

Healthwatch England have produced a useful toolkit of resources to help you promote Share for Better Care Week and encourage more public feedback on care, which you can download on the Healthwatch England website, including ready-to-use content for social media and email marketing, social media templates and posters.

How does sharing your views make a difference?

You might think your feedback doesn’t have the power to change how health and social care services run. We want to show you how that isn’t the case.
