Safeguarding adults in Brent programme

In collaboration with Brent Safeguarding Adults Board, we are undertaking a project to raise awareness of safeguarding and the impacts on target communities in Brent.

Brent Safeguarding Adults Board and Healthwatch Brent are carrying out a project to ensure that residents are aware of safeguarding and how to protect themselves and their communities.

As part of our work, we are planning a series of outreach sessions to targeted community groups and wider events. We also seek to co-produce resources to share information about safeguarding that is clear and accessible for Brent’s communities.

What are our aims?

  • Raise awareness of safeguarding processes with target communities in Brent
  • Spread information about how adults can protect themselves or their communities from abuse and neglect
  • Improve understanding of what people should do if they experience or are aware of others experiencing abuse/neglect
  • Improve awareness of key issues such as hoarding/ self-neglect and housing

How does sharing your views make a difference?

You might think your feedback doesn’t have the power to change how health and social care services run. We want to show you how that isn’t the case.
