Selina is the Head of Healthwatch Brent and the Head of Healthwatch at Community Barnet. Selina previously was Head of Healthwatch Barnet and established its first programmes, which won national Healthwatch England awards. Selina has worked for the charity sector and as a volunteer in a number of roles, including community development, organisational guidance and training, social policy and with young people and diverse communities. Selina's role is to ensure that local people's views and experiences are heard and acted upon, developing the strategy and activities for Healthwatch. Selina attends some of the senior level meetings in health and social care, as well as developing projects and activities.
Ian has worked in Brent for 18 years, both in the NHS and the voluntary sector. He has a particular passion for personalised services. Ian has been with Healthwatch Brent since 2014 and currently runs the Community Chest grants programme. He engages with a wide range of strategic partners and sits on various boards including the Adult Safeguarding Board.
Ibrahim began working for Healthwatch in 2017, as ourVolunteer & Projects Officer at Healthwatch Brent.
Agatha began working for Healthwatch in 2017, as our Development Officer for Healthwatch Brent.
Fran is the Senior Operations Officer for Healthwatch Brent. She is responsible for supporting Healthwatch Brent in the development and operational delivery of its workplans, objectives and aims. Fran manages the contractual relationship with delivery partners and the financial management of Healthwatch contracts.
Leah began working for Healthwatch in 2017, as our Research and Policy Officer for Barnet, Brent and Newham. Leah’s role involves conducting research into health and social care issues identified by local residents across the three Boroughs and helping to shape the views of decision makers to make improvements in the area. Her favourite part of the job is empowering people to influence the services they use and to think critically about their health and social care. Leah has a background in population health research and has worked internationally delivering sexual health education to local communities before starting to work at Healthwatch. John is our Engagement Officer for Barnet and Brent. His role involves engaging with community groups and individuals to gather their experience of health and social care services and to explain the role of Healthwatch. Prior to working for Healthwatch, John worked and volunteered in the volunteer sector since 2011. John still remains active and continues to volunteer his spare time to several different organisations who appreciate his hard work.
